FAQ’s

Q: What is included in your Charter price?
A: We supply all applicable fishing licenses and permits, USCG Safety Equipment, Cooler with Ice and Water, Fishing / Fly Rods and Terminal Tackle.

Q: Can we bring our own Fishing Rods, Fly Rods and Tackle?
A:  ABSOLUTELY! While we generally supply all that you will need for an inshore trip with us, even we know the advantages of that "lucky" rod or lure.  We do ask that you notify us in advance, prior to bringing your own gear, so we can properly prepare the vessel.

Q: What type of bait do you provide?
A:   We supply all artificial baits, lures, etc.  We can provide live bait, however there may be an additional fee.  Advanced notice, and pre-payment, may also be required for live bait. (Note: if pre-payment is required and not received in a timely manner, live bait may not be procured)

Q: What should I bring?
A:  I highly recommend that you bring a pair of polarized sunglasses, sunscreen, wear UPF rated clothing, a brimmed hat, soft soled shoes, snacks of your choice and a camera to capture your fishing experience.  **No Black Sole Shoes or Flip Flops with Bottle Openers on bottom will be allowed on the boat** While our Pathfinder 2500 has plenty of storage and space, please contact Capt Steve if you are going to bring more than the recommended items.

Q: How many people can your boat accommodate?
A:   While the USCG authorizes our Pathfinder 2500 to accommodate 8 passengers, Capt Steve has a max 4 person for charters to maintain that personal experience.

Q: Do you require advanced payment?
A:  Once a charter date is requested, a $100 (USD) deposit is required to confirm and reserve the charter date and time.  A charter will not be confirmed until a deposit is received.  Once a deposit is received you will receive a confirmation email with the Date, Time Slot requested, any additional notes or requests, and the remaining balance due.  The balance must paid 30 days prior to the scheduled charter.

Q: Can I bring kids on your boat?
A:  ABSOLUTELY! As I stated in my short Bio, I am a father of four wonderful children.  My kids have all spent a lot of time on our boats with me with my most memorable moments being fishing trips with them.  There is nothing more fulfilling then seeing a child's smile when they hold a fish they just caught.  With that said, a child's age and safety factors may limit our ability to target specific species.

Q: Once the trip is booked do we need to call you again?
A: Once you have paid your deposit your charter is on the books.  Capt. Steve will contact you one to three days prior to your trip.  This will provide us the opportunity to review, change and/or plan detailed information regarding your customized charter.

Q: How do we contact you?
A: Wondering about availability? Simply visit the reservations page of this site, choose the trip you would like to take and book your desired date.  Once you complete the checkout process your trip will be reserved. For all other questions, feel free to phone or email me using the information provided at the top of this page

Q: What is your refund or cancellation policy?
A: It is our utmost intent to provide our clients with a fair, honest, fun and enjoyable experience.  I understand that with this type of service there are many factors to be considered; to include but not limited to, travel, weather and sea conditions.  Trips cancelled outside of 30 days, or due to weather, will receive a full refund of balance held. Any trips cancelled inside of 30 days but outside of 10 days will be responsible for 50% of the trip cost. Any trip cancelled 10 days from the scheduled trip dates the customer will be responsible for the full rate of the charter. We also operate by a 30 minute "No Show" policy.  If you are more than 30 minutes late for your charter AND DO NOT CALL (leaving a message if necessary) then, you will be considered a "No Show" and you will be charged for the full rate of the charter.  During "undesirable conditions", if the client is briefed on the weather and sea conditions and decides to continue on with the charter, once the boat departs the boat ramp and/or dock mooring, all rights to refunds will be forfeited and will be at the sole discretion of On Island Time Charters, Inc.
